+ e u1 k9 `( d' d- TUnfortunately, cell tower laws fall under Federal jurisdiction. The only requirement the communication company has is to share one tower with multiple users and to conduct a neighbourhood information meeting, which they must have done. The reaction of the community is not taken into consideration. This is a Federal issue. Churches ( and other locations) all over our City are receiving annual rent for the erection of cell towers on their property. i.e. St Thomas More church on Terwillegar and 23 ave, (the cross tower is a cell tower), the Dayspring United Church on 40th ave by Petrolia mall, the Save-on grocery store on rabbit hill road and 23 ave. % ?/ M% z$ l" ~* G

The Church must have agreed to take the rent money and let them erect a tower on their property. The owner of the land is well within his rights to do so. No neighbourhood has been successful in getting the Federal government department to deny a cell tower installation.
