Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
$ U+ ~6 d U8 t/ e9 t9 B7 O After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. 6 h! v9 X* ?2 K8 r5 c# n
It is a cycle.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.+ o" e" l, j$ K
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.

' L5 h) b8 w: K* |! O" hWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
* @7 E9 n0 E, R: \$ Y7 j1 i/ }Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.5 s$ l l& K3 p
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

2 j$ e( q" i2 rThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
6 V) ~) E& H9 H( K N! aThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.& H; }* x0 V K5 x; o
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

! q; o$ b$ d4 a6 iThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
