No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.4 }/ {9 T4 `+ Z0 o5 m- v; Z
- U& j5 g- N% d) pThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
