Introduction to SVCC

Founded in 1980, Student Volunteer Campus Community (SVCC) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that has been providing the Edmonton community with language classes for over 25 years. Today, SVCC serves more than 270 students of all ages, levels and nationalities with the help of 75 volunteers every semester.

' J; s) Y) ?/ r7 Z0 f% QSVCC is composed of 3 schools: the English Language School (ELS), the Cantonese Language School (CLS), and the Mandarin Language School (MLS). Classes are conducted in 3 semesters a year, 12 weekly lessons a semester. Classes are held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the University of Alberta campus, in the Education Building.

SVCC offers weekly language classes in Fall, Winter, and Spring (3 semesters per year). All classes are held on the same day at the same time:

Where: Classrooms in Education Building, University of Alberta (11210 87 Avenue)
