The opening of North America’s newest container port will provide significant economic advantages for the ‘Prince Rupert Corridor’ and enable Edmonton's plans to become a multi-modal transportation hub for the continent. ' Q+ e. k8 g+ |1 N& Z. O
The port’s expansion follows a memorandum of co-operation – formalized earlier this year between Edmonton, Prince Rupert and Prince George – that will enhance Edmonton’s access to new markets while creating new back-haul opportunities for business and industry.
