The house prices are ridiculously high now, they will drop in 1-5 years for sure. It is too risky to buy a house now, you may end losing a lot of money. Now those construction workers make tons of money, if you buy a house, you are donating money to them. If you have too much money, you can do that, if not, you need to think about it carefully.

4 b$ J: y4 B9 l+ c: J4 FRenting is a much better option for you, it is cheaper. Try to save money now and wait for a couple of years, if prices drop significantly, then you can buy. Otherwise you may want to move other cities.

. P6 J, K6 D2 BEspecially if your husband lose his job and you have to pay $2400 for your house monthly, you will be under tremendous pressure.

There is no difference in terms of life quality between renting a house or owning a house. A house is just a place for you to live no matter you own it or rent it. The benefit to own a house is you can build equity from it. After 100% price increase in the recent years, I don't expect to get 10% increase annualy.

5 {" f% |( I8 q7 LIf the goverment put controls over the market, it will for sure reduce the risk of market crash, that means the price will keep going up--slowly, but up, for a while yet.

: \0 r. g" H" KLZ, buy it now, but your need to do a lot of research in this market, safe bet would be: find a fix-upper in a good area.

I lived in Michener Park before and bought a house last summer. Just try to give you a rough idea how

8 b) w( J4 m% Q+ m6 N# T/ I, P( x5 U2 `Mortgage/Month + property tax: $1700
Utility (gas+electricity+water): $300/M, day:21 degree C Night: 19 degree C

Other expenses you may consider once you have a house:
Closing cost (lawyer fee+inspection): $1000
Furniture at Brick/Leon's level for two bedroom, one living room, one family room: $6K (Low level)
8 b" \3 b5 G/ c: E4 [$ F. DGarden & Lawn tools: roughly $200 last summer. need to buy much more this summer
% L4 j' J( R9 n+ ~2 P; t5 r: _My neighbour said it cost her roughly $300 per summer for flower bed.

水电用的不随心所欲，暖气烧得也让人心疼
我还真没见过有中国人家烧得比michener park暖和的

+ g+ y4 J& y# G& C是呀。而且Michener Park可能是老年中国人最集中的地方。老人在这儿不孤单。
