附我的naaaaaasty letter, 其实我写的不算nasty, 算软硬兼施吧。关键名字省略。大家就别纠缠我的语法错误了，肯定是大大的。

# e4 C% O% a# M8 e7 b" ^基本意思就是：我们明天就开open house了，今天才发现，时间没定上，要定必须等很长时间，还要多花钱。我们一不能等，二没钱，而且这个活动不能取消。我们自己虽然有失误，但是更大的失误是你们的官僚主义！这次活动我们请了很多议员，学校，团体，还有电视台，请你们赶紧解决吧 （言外之意，不开open house, 我们就改开媒体见面会，新闻发布会！）

As many of you know, XX Community is kicking off a new series of programs, and many of you are coming to the Open House and Registration Night on Jan28th. Now we have a problem with booking additional time at XXX school and I am seeking help from all of you. I’d like to point out hereby that out of the 5 programs in question, 3 of them are programs that we are hosting in cooperation with the City of Edmonton.

. \) t6 X3 t" V* }/ OIn brief, we have set up the programs schedule and sent out advertising to 5000 homes, but was informed today that we need to pay $38 per hour for that additional time, and restart the request process which we were advised at the beginning that this would take1 day to 1 week. Today we were told that this process could take 1-2 weeks to have it approved.

' y6 T. ~1 d vWe have 50 VIPs coming including CouncilorXX, XX and MLA XX's representative, people coming from other communities, organizations, schools and churches. We also have media people from XXX TV station coming. On top of that, we sent out a mass mail out with invitation to 5000 homes in our area. We have spent considerable time and money organizing this event. As you can see, it is impossible for us to cancel the event and we can not cancel the registration for these programs either. Moreover, we can not afford to pay $38 per hour since we are already subsidizing the program out of community league’s money. (Please find the attached on Program flyers to check out our low price of the program).

3 `) p* _2 t/ Y) K+ D1 [! LHave we made any mistakes? Yes, we have. As outlined below, I have apologized and still apologize for my misunderstanding of the booking procedure. : E! n8 A p' ] s5 e5 s8 X2 n- h

But to be honest, no one seems to completely understand this agreement and be able to explain it straightforward. I have been receiving conflicting information, such as: I was told at the beginning that I was welcome to add and cancel the booking time but without any mention of the price difference. Later on, I was told that I didn’t hold the authority to change any of the time. More, the format of the agreement is also very frustrating: I had to convert the list of all of the time logs (hour by hour throughout the year) to a calendar view by myself which takes a considerable time to do so. And there is no regularity of the time logs. (Please find the attached on the calendar I converted to)

What made us most frustrated is that once I realized that these time were not booked even after sending out the new program dates and times to the gym booking department (my mistake of not bringing attention that there were new time that are needed to be added), I sent in the request of the additional time on Jan 18th and still no one had mentioned the price difference. I have been waiting for respond and was told that it was the EPS administration was the authority to approve such a request. Today (Jan 27th) with no time left. I reached out to XXX from EPS administration, and with her assistance, we now finally got to know what we are facing which is devastating to our program and everything that we have tried to accomplish.

Given the situation we find ourselves in, and given the fact that this cooperation is new to both of us and we are not the sole party who contributed to this situation, we are pleading for mercy to give us the approval ASAP on the additional time we need to go ahead with our plan for open house and registration on Jan 28th . I have checked with XX School, and was told that these times are available according to their records. We are also willing to accommodate if any minor changes are needed. The most of the programs run until the end of March. We would like to meet with the Edmonton School Board and City of Edmonton to resolve the issues of change of time before we proceed any further.
