Students' Council looking for ChairpersonPosition Available: Chair of Students’ Council
Term: August 2008 – August 2009
Hours: 2-3 hours/biweekly
Honorarium: $900/term
Chair Responsibilities:
• Presiding over Students’ Council meetings biweekly
• Keeping order within meetings, controlling discussion, and ensuring Councillors and Executives adhere to the agenda
• Managing meetings according to Robert’s Rules of Order
• Maintaining up to date understanding of Students’ Council Policies
Qualifications:
This position is open to both students of Grant MacEwan College and non-students of the greater community of Edmonton. Interested candidates should have an adequate understanding of Robert’s Rules of Order, and previous experience working in council or board atmospheres.
